AFRICA
Chris is a globetrotter who speaks several languages and has always held a keen geopolitical
interest. Many of his documentaries reflect his engagement in human rights and environmental issues.
Long before Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt discovered Namibia, Chris left his footprint on the country's
political landscape.
|
|
After befriending the future Namibian President, Chief Clemens Kapuuo, Nebe started backing the Herero
Nation in their struggle for independence and was to be the International Advisor to the Chief. |
|
At that time, Namibia was controlled by the South African Apartheid Regime, which strictly enforced
segregation of black and white. |
|
Most unfortunately, Chief Clemens Kapuuo was assassinated in the dark of night in the capital, Windhoek.
During his last visit to Namibia, to honor his slain friend, Chris was arrested in the Black Ghetto
for breaking the curfew.
After receiving numerous death threats (one pictured below) in his hotel, Nebe left Namibia for good.
Chris follows the teachings of Confucius, who said:
"Don't do to others what you don't want them to do to you!" Chris is also a strong believer in harmony of
mankind and nature.
