The World of Liu Yuyi (The Life of A Chinese Artist)
“The World Of Liu Yuyi” is a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors, driven by the artist’s never-ending passion to paint.
Whether celebrating the epic cultural heritage of China, or recording important political events of its recent history, Master Yuyi’s vivid love of art shines through his work. He is proficient in oils, watercolors, sketching and traditional Chinese art styles.
Of all the artists in China, his works are the most prolific throughout the high government buildings in Beijing. To date, he has painted hundreds of captivating canvases, some of them spanning more than 100 meters!
The 2008 Olympics were graced by a gigantic artwork that took Liu Yuyi many years to paint. It celebrated the history of the Olympics from its inception thousands of years ago, to today. It was such an ambitious project that a special warehouse was converted into a studio and living quarters for his family. It was the only place large enough to house the many sections of the record-breaking artwork.
